Knights of Asternia are now housed in Noor I'Meles at the tower of light where Asternia's high temple is. Nominally they are led by a golden canine named Vynrael who is High Priest, as there is no current Paladin.

The Gods

Eremine – The Sleeping Goddess - Neutral

When it became clear that much of Velmaneth’s recent woes were due to Eremine trying to reassert the balance by destroying the world, worship of the Goddess of Balance fell out of favour. Her temples have fallen into disrepair, many of her followers have drifted away and now she sleeps within the jewel, waiting.

Gerethenax - Good to Neutral
His moon vanished from the sky a decade ago and now he is one with the earth, perhaps as he always should have been. Although there are temples to the God of Earth where his worshipers gather on special occasions, his many followers see everywhere on the land as being His.

Lavelas - Evil to Neutral
The God of Water destroyed by Velnashar in the beginning spent decades trapped in the Hope Wastes known only as “Cold”. Returned to the world he is a embittered and capricious deity known for sending his power where it is not wanted: for example causing great storms at sea while keeping the rain from areas of desert and drought. He is particularly feared by sailors (who may pray to him for mercy or worship him out of fear) but the main body of his followers are the Dwarves, a somber race whose outlook is forged from misfortune.

Lemrah - Neutral
Although still known as Eremethal by some, his successor as God of the Heavens (meaning the sky, air rather than anything more religious) is the one remaining moon. This is a powerful reminder of a God’s existence and so he also has a good number of followers. He acts as mediator between the brothers of Water and Earth: pushing the sea back using the power of the tides when it encroaches too far on the land.

Quayle (Quaos) and Asternia – Deities of the Sun
Where Quayle is God of Chaos and Shadow (and Destuction and Fire), Asternia is Goddess of Law and Light. There was concern among both gods and men that Quayle’s power was growing unchecked and that he could become an even greater threat than his father before him for he knows the mind of the hero and how to preempt those who would stand against him. The gods decided to remove Quayle and divide his portfolio between them and so Dakron was sent to end Quayle’s existence. Quayle destroyed him utterly. This led to the gods decision to rethink their plan and instead Asternia, who had always fought against Velnashar to protect the world, willingly offered herself to Quayle as consort much as Larweyella had been to Velnashar. Generally the goddess has managed to keep Quayle’s interest and helped him to control his more destructive urges and the evil within himself. For this reason, worship of Quaos is considered somewhat more acceptable than the worship of Velnashar ever was.

Dakron (deceased) - Evil
Quayle killed Dakron and the Order of Dakron collapsed. Dakron has sunk into obscurity with many of his old followers turning to other deities such as Spiter (Goddess of Cunning, Strategy and Ranged Weaponry).

Lenamo – God of Life and Death - Neutral
With the destruction of Quarin and the death of Firin, Lenamo once more took control of both Life and Death: birth as a beginning and death as the end. He is still staunchly against the undead for they are outside the natural order. His priesthood believe in making life last as long as possible but ensuring that when death comes it is quick and as painless as possible.

Kan Slaar – Lord of Undeath, Guardian of the Hope Wastes - Neutral to Evil
After the destruction of The Quarin, no undead could be raised but people found that no one was escaping from the Hope Wastes either and every resurrection failed. Lenamo summoned Kan Slaar and the vampire revealed that he was enforcing the balance: if souls could not be summoned back for one purpose (that of raising undead) then they could not be summoned back for any reason. Lenamo granted Kan Slaar the power of the God of Undeath, once more allowing the undead to be summoned into the world, but bade him to maintain the balance: to allow resurrections once more.

Kan Slaar doesn't care whether souls are resurrected or raised as undead as long as people follow his rules to do so and don't "waste" souls by raising an undead creature just to be destroyed. To aid this, as his first act, he has granted those with the power to raise undead greater access to the magic of the Hope Wastes. By tapping into this power Hopeslayers can raise non-sentient undead using the power of death magic alone without needing to destroy a soul in the process.

As a resurrection is so much harder than the raising of an undead creature requiring more time along with a permanent sacrifice, Kan Slaar's balance is not one resurrection to every undead raised but perhaps 100 or more sentient undead to each true resurrection.

In the same way that resurrected people are not always good, Kan Slaar would want people to realise that undead are not necessarily evil. Mindless undead are a tool and can be put to more uses than simply fighting. Sentient undead have some degree of freedom and are only as evil as their soul (coupled with the orders of whoever raised them).

Firin - Guardian of Heaven - Neutral to Good
Firin sacrificed herself out of loyalty to Lenamo to allow him to be reborn as God of Life and Death. She now stands watch over the heavenly realm where souls can rest in eternal peace, never able to return to the world.

Pomodionbachasiet - God of Celebration - Neutral to Good
Once seen as a God of Drinking and Revelry, it was revealed that there was more power behind this deity. He is also in charge of moving the seasons on through celebration, passing the power from Spring to Summer to Autumn to Winter and back to Spring. Years of peace and regrowth having seen him become more powerful than ever before.

Neffekeffen - Walking God of Insanity - Neutral to Evil
Neffekeffen is no longer a full god, his power bound within a physical object - a mask now shattered and lost. One of the pieces of the mask is held by Quaos who, in return for some level of fealty from Neffekeffen, grants the fallen god connection to the chaos of the world: the madness in all things. Neffekeffen uses this power to both help and hinder those he comes across in The Great Dance, a pilgrimage across the face of Velmaneth spreading madness and searching for the broken pieces of his mask so that he might reascend.

Four of the five human tribes have adopted a patron deity with the fifth, Jehovern, worshiping all:

Varyans
Varya – God of Protection and Honour - Good

Over the years, Mektar (once the god of knights) fell out of favour. It became the norm to be a knight of another god rather than a knight of Mektar. Much as a prospective paladin challenges the incumbent for the role, Mektar, his power waning, challenged the god who many of his followers had turned to: Varya. Varya was victorious and Mektar sunk from memory.

Telerfret
Silver - God of Magic and Ritual - Neutral

Having defeated the original god of magic, Onlurin, Silver remains the deity of magic. With Eremine sleeping, his mastery of the jewel is unmatched.

Larkant
Mamazumo - Goddess of Bloodlines and Family - Neutral

Worship of Larweyella had begun to gather momentum within the Larkant ranks and there was grave concern that following the Goddess of War would only lead to ruin for humanity so instead the worship of Mamazumo was encouraged and has thrived.

Once Mamazumo was somewhat misunderstood, a Goddess of Blood brings to mind dark rituals and evil sacrifices. She raised her most faithful to act as her avatar and bring the faith into the light. After the death of this avatar while fighting against the Quarin, a temple was built at Dellam's Last Stand in her honour. Here the Blood Sworn, her most faithful warriors, live and train.

Everni
Spiter - Goddess of Stealth, Strategy and Marksmen - Neutral

General Mortimer, Haran of the Larkant and Everni, converted to Spiter and this has encouraged her church to grow throughout the lands of humanity, especially within the Everni. Although followers of Dakron are said to have converted to this young Goddess, this is seen as them 'seeing the light' rather than corrupting this new religion.

Will you had "lesser" gods to this list? I.e. neffekeffen, risk, pomodiumpokaset
As long as I can't lose, I've already won.
