Galatine's face was deadpan. When he spoke, it looked almost as though Sanctus was sitting beside him looking and sounding the same.
Yes. You.
He fell back down onto his back again, staring up at the sky. Birds flitted around in the sky, reminding him of fish swimming in the sea. Come to think of it, it reminded him of fire dancing around, pebbles being knocked here and there...
Is there something...else? he wondered aloud.

Galatine's eyes and expression (as well as his voice) seemed distant as though he was there physically, but somewhere else mentally.

after some time Dreith returns, looking a bit thoughtful. She perks up seeing Galatine, and then settles down thoughtfully...

Galatine had a distant look in his eyes and seemed oblivious to the world completely. This was emphasised by a kitten sratching his hand every so often.
What on earth is making you so lifeless? Its boring...
Nothing...important...
Want me to drag you in here to spar?
Considering you try killing me, no. Go play with poisonous reptiles in my mind.

Dreith has been dozing, and thinking back to past times. Lots of money for slaves. She is trying to remember where and how it all got frittered away, compared to how rich she used to be, she feels rather broke. But then, fewer and fewer people want slaves. Pets though. this is a new idea. trade pets. Theyre like slaves but seemingly dont do any work. a frivolous thing but when you think of pets like the kitten, rather pleasant to have around. Maybe thats the work they do.

The kitten starts playing with her sleeve, getting bored with playing with Galatine. Dreith wonders why he is lost in thought... maybe he is seasick.

Galatine's emotionless eyes stared up at the sky, not really anywhere in this world.
Suddenly, his eyes opened wide and he shot up.
THATS IT!
The people on the deck stared at him and he blushed a bit at having draw attention to himself. He nodded his head in apology and as soon as everyone looked away he drew both his swords. Looking at the two swords he held each in both hands and closed his eyes. A feeling of oneness with the universe surroded him and an aura of white colouring emitted from his skin gently. He opened his eyes and made a sudden movement landing in a perfect dual sword style attack stance kata. Snapping out of this, the aura vanished as though it had only been a part of his mind, but no-one seemed to have noticed him. He sheathed both blades and collapsed onto the deck again.

Dreith, half awake has jumped out of her skin at Galatines sudden movement. Initially looking around for the threat and seeing none, she glares at the human now reclining on the deck once more.

What on Velmaneth are you doing?

Should we say that was not actually in a space of Velmaneth or let it slip?
Galatine slowly propped himself up and faced the shadow elf.
Sorry...I just was thinking of something and needed to...
He trailed off.

Voyages are the best time for thinking... Dreith cant help but agree, before settling down again, and jumping up herself for a moment realising she was about to sit down on the kittens tail. Dreith dozes off...

Galatine, not feeling like sleeping, sat into a comfortable position, and for the first time in some time, he went into a deep state of meditation from which he had no intention of waking from until the end of this voyage.
