Returning to Sinya Palurin

Postby Blue mage » Wed Mar 18, 2009 10:53 am

The docks was busy with people darting here and there to get supplies, get on board a ship, disembarking or just wandering around. As the croud moved, so did a rag-tag group of foreigners making their way on board the ship. The small group consisted of a light elf, a shadow elf and a larkant, with a kitten clinging to the light elf. The larkant payed the fee to get on board and the little group got on board the ship. The larkant sat down in a corner, saving seats for the others and after getting comfortable, he went into a meditative state. The kitten in the light elf's grasp, struggled under the threat of water and sea, but was no match for the light elf and eventually settled down, hiding under a seat. The larkant spoke up:
We may be going home, but where to?

Alright Dreith goes on deck again. The sun might be a bit bright, but the fresh sea air is good.

As the ship set off, Galatine stared into the sky and sea before him and felt peaceful, as though he was in a forset again. After the feeling of uphoria howevere, it was followed by a terrible sensation that something was not right. As though something had shifted or been contorted in a way he could not understand. As he felt things around him he knew what it was and breathed heavily. He turned to Drieth and spoke up:
Something terrible has happened. I dont know how or why and I dont care about it now...But it may be risky to igore such matters. He then decided to change the subject:
You do know exactly what we are going to do once we return? Of course, I will follow you in whatever it is as a friend and...I guess Im either your gaurdian or servant in my mind...I want to make sure we have something to go on though... He spoke with honesty and worry.

What has happened? Dreith has seen some rough things in her time and been part of them too, and so, she assumes, has Galatine, so for something to be worthy of note, it must be bad. Well we ought to seek work and making allies... that means we may have to appear extra nice for a while... That should be our focus.

He shrugged. Nothing either of us could not handle if need be.
The warrior nodded and smiled: Oh come now. Im always on my best behavior! And besides, what work could a swordsman do?

Galatine shrugged. I dont really mind your habits. I am on no bodies side nor opponent, but I think that the only person I am on the side of is you, simply because you interest me. And your habits are nothing less than amusing. HE smiled and thought of the time with the slave owner

The warrior stared at his friend curiously.
Where ever you want. I'll follow all the same. His words were solid and unwavering.

Galatine looked a little bored and suprised. If she wanted to protect a village, then there had to be a good reason...chances were it was a pretty nasty place.
Alright. Then lets go there first.

True, true. And eventually, we will need all of these no doubt.
The warrior turned and sat down not far from his friend, and began to mditate for the first time in a long time.

**The journey continues for a few hours. Galentine notices that his meditation starting to wane as the winds pick up. The boat starts to rock, and it is not long before others on the deck realise a storm is brewing. As the winds become more and more gale like, and the waves start to tower over the ship, the crew start to run about, panic in their voices as they secure mooring ropes and the like to try and steady the cargo. Before the crew can attempt to bring the sail down, a bolt of lightning flashes from the sky and even the rain that has started can't put out the fire spreading along the canvas.

Over all the shouts and crys, one is clear:**

"It's no use, we're going to have to turn back!"

**And with that, the boat starts to turn back on itself, heading once more for the shores of Serke Kemi...**
