The sword maker

Postby Blue mage » Sun Apr 19, 2009 10:41 am

A warrior with a daisho entered the smithy of the village with an urgent look. He looked around the smithy at the various bits of metal and complete works examining them to see the mastery in them. After an examination, he deemed the blades there to be fine and leaned against the wall waiting for someone to speak with.
Please tell me your not letting them take a look at me! I hate it when people try holding me without letting me cut something...
Now, now. I will see if someone can do any work to you or not.
I swear I will cut you for this the moment you draw me next time.

**A rather wizened and ancient looking woman comes to see the customer. She gives a small bow.**

"How may I help you Sir?"

Galatine bowed back in return.
Greetings. Sorry for byrsting in, but would it be alright if you could take a look at this?
He pulled his sword out and held it out towards the woman.
Im cutting you in your sleep. You deserve it. I'll try to hit an artery.

**The woman smiles**

"Certainly young man"

**She reaches out and takes the sword. As she begins to inspect it, she screams and drops it, running from the room**

"Demon! Demon!"

Galatine sighs and picks up the sword on the ground, which as soon as its in his hand, slips and cuts him along the cheek.
Thats for doing something stupid!
He sighed and wiped the blood and dirt of the blade edge.
I just cleaned you...
He now had to consider what to do. The woman was going to cause a commotion, but he wasnt going to fight back if they tried to kill him. He sat down and waited for whomever it was to come along. Well, at least he knew SOMETHING about the sword.

Galatine looked at the elf with mild irony.
You chose a rather annoying time to appear...I think Im about to be killed horribly by the warriors of this village. Apprarently my sword IS possessed after all.
he said this with what appeared to be a small smile, as if he was interested in fighting so many.

Galatine composed himself and laid his daisho on his left side beside him.
Well...I wanted to see if I could have some insight upon this blade of mine, but it had a bad effect and...well, now Im waiting to see what will happen.
He sighed and looked up at the ceiling for a second.
In any case, we shall have to see what happens...
looking at the kitten, he smiled at its sleeping form.
How's the cat?

Galatine nodded solemnly.
I will...if I survive...I think it would be best to stay and make ammends to clear this up. If I leave now, it would appear as though I had run away. This would make any sort of conclusions come about and you and Dreith would be involved. Thats something I cannot allow. So, for now, i shall wai there and return to you when this is over.
He leant forward and whispered in his friend's ear:
Im also hoping to learn something from a warrior here and copy or study under them later.
he leant back and winked, his playful yet studying warrior personality shining through.
