System effect

Postby Will » Fri May 01, 2009 9:45 am

**Due to the massive number of mana potions being made over the past months, the ingredients are becoming harder to find.

All mana potions have their difficulty level increased by one**

I assume this will also mean adventures receive some toning down stat wise?

I think some of the recent adventures have had more thrown at the party because the ref's know the party have the essence to handle it...

For example the anniversary adventure Rob threw more at the party because he knew me and Edd had brought 30 mana potions with us (which were not intended for use... more of a 'just in case' backup), which forced us to use them!

If a party is performing less well on an adventure then of course the statting will be altered as it progresses. If a party is doing well and does not seem to be challenged enough then again, adventure will be adapted.

If people walk onto adventures with 30+ mana potions then they have to expect that the adventure will take that into account. If mana potions are less avaliable then obviously that will be taken into account.

Did anyone die last adventure? Was it not actually run so that it was almost exactly in line with what the party could take? I believe so... I don't understand why people complain because their characters are pushed to use the full extent of their resources?

I've always wondered how people are able to spend four adventures pay each adventure, just on mana potions.

If people are happy to do that, and stay poor forever, simply because they want to cast a few more spells each time, I've never been inclined to stop them. :)
So then he goes, YOU SHALL NOT PASS, and I say "I've got WINGS? I can FLY?" It was hilarious! The dwarf was tough, but the elf was delicious and they had some men and these four bite-sized guys, too. The wizard was fuming when I flew off.

"Hmm, I don't think that's going to do the job Rob. How about setting Fuse and ToD by blow? That seem reasonable?"
"Maybe. Think we'll have to make it Meta instead of Death though..."
"Good point!"
