**It started with Pathway. The figure, no bigger than any normal human and dressed as a Yeeta, advanced on Fort Drake. The magic of the defences assaulted it as soon as it came near, but it barely registered instead ploughing through the inhabitants like a scythe through hay. Death was everywhere.

Before long the forts themselves had been torn down and the defences crushed, a smouldering ruin lay in its wake. Throughout the devastation, all it was heard to say was:

"We are Yeetas, we will understand"

**The forts were next. The Knights of Mektar and the Order of Light marched out to meet the creature, to stop it. They failed. The forts were ground into dust.

Next came the Gruthiel Mountains, torn down and in their wake a great rift was opened between Velmaneth and the Hopewastes and from it poured Demons and Undead. The creature entered the wastes and The End itself fought the creature before being destroyed.

Pargon received brief respite but on far off Serke Kemi, the Sting was shattered and the land sunk beneath the sea.

Little word is heard from the lands of Arak Kar and Arnad Guarhoth, it is believed that perhaps they have escaped unscathed and thousands head south seeking refuge from the terror

Finally it returned to Sinya Palurin...

"We are Yeetas, we will understand"

The Haran, however, had prepared well. Bound with unimaginable ritual powers and wreathed in artefacts kept in the deepest vaults of Ingolé, he and his council confronted the creature. Not to kill, but to trap. Though he was successful, he paid for the enchantments with his very life, sacrificing himself to contain the creature, no one knew for how long.

Somewhere high above the Heartlands, a massive floating mountain begins to descend as the magic powering it seems to be sapped. It falls faster and faster until it crashes out of the sky into the crater of the Heartlands where it fits almost exactly. Unfortunately it is now upside down. The devastation caused is unimaginable leaving a mass of rubble and fire across the continent. The shockwaves topple several mountains in the Erda ridge, including Fiwiake. The Avians fly north, desperate to escape but are engulfed in flames as the whole of Sinya Palurin is incinerated in a massive firestorm that rages for 4 brief but terrible minutes...

Ironically this provides some small amount of good fortune, incinerating the Undead and Demons in the area, though Gweria is completely overrun. Some Heroes make a brave stand in Varya, but it seems inevitable that Hoopa will be overrun.

However, this good fortune is short-lived as the entire continent cracks and the southern half collapses into the ocean, drowning those who retreated there. No one knows how long the remaining land will last with major earthquakes an hourly occurence.**

Several days later...

Pain? No not pain. Nearly, but not quite.

In fact, yet again, for the second time in what felt like hours it was the feeling of being taken apart. A single instant stretched across eternity. Once again everything that made him an individual had been removed from his physical body. The path had warned him that opening the book would be fatal for those assaulting the fort, apparently that included the person opening the book. Some might suggest this was a design flaw.

For a second the sound of the assaulting Telerfret returned to him. He had caused their deaths. Except he hadn’t, their deaths had been caused years before, the only death he’d caused was his own. Suddenly it seemed rather pointless and he understood how Simon the Yeeta had felt.

Except he’d helped restore the path, his own words returned to him “I don’t care what happens to me, just give the Sentinels a final chance”. Damn. This didn’t appear to be the Hope Wastes though. Maybe Sentinels go somewhere else. Somewhere grey with a hint of purple.

As he looked, his eyes (did he still have eyes?) latched on to a single golden line that stretched off into the distance and instantly he recognised the Path. The hint of purple he’d noticed before was in fact thousands, millions, of tiny lines that branched off from this golden one and he realised that each of these represented a version of the world that deviated from the Path.

His attention was drawn to a hint of movement in the grey and as he focussed he saw one small purple line, darker that the rest, which pulsed and writhed. As he watched, he saw it lash out at the path, seemingly trying to pull it off course. As he watched it he remembered being hired by Derwent, the Yeetas attacking, a lot of death, being torn from his body, waking up high above Velmaneth. But he also remembered being hired by Derwent and that whole day taking place without incident...both seemed completely real and though they contradicted each other, he was sure that both had occurred.

Had the Yeeta not been corrupted by Triundune, he would not have asked the Path to send them back in time. Had they not gone back in time they would not have died, they would be alive now. But then, had they not gone back in time they would not have changed anything, Triundune would have corrupted the Yeeta and he would yet again have asked the path to send them back.

It was a circle: by going back in time they had changed events and so no longer needed to go back in time but if they did not go back in time, the events would take place and they would yet again need to go back in time.

“We cannot allow this.” It was a woman’s voice, ringing through his mind. She seemed both ancient and young at once and he knew instantly that it was Lady Eternity.

As he watched, she cut the malevolent, errant stream of time free. It seemed to writhe more fiercely as she released it into the void. Unbeknownst to all but her, by breaking off this piece of time Eternity created something new, both an alternate reality and a sentient being: The Snarl.

He felt her attention focus on him.

“Those who fell live once more but your deaths restored the Path. They cannot be undone without unravelling it once more. I’m sorry.”

With that, the versions of Purification, Derwent, Grey, Raz and Corin that had never needed to travel through time to repair the damage done to the path faded from the world as Lady Eternity severed them from time itself...

This area is for people to continue role playing in the devestated world in the aftermath of the Yeetas. They have left now and the world is left ruined.

Pretty much roleplay as you wish here, with whoever you like :)
