He nods, slightly more reasured suprising even him.
I understand. I will wait. I shall simply meditate until then.
Looking at her curiously, he paused for thought briefely.
Yes, I can write. What is it that you wish to do?

Dreith draws a deep breath
Simply that, it would be easier to leave a message for my contact than visit him in person, especially since I will be being searched for in Sanga right now, and leaving a written message for him might be easier than making myself known to speak to him. I have an old paper wrapper here... I tend to keep stuff like that, it can come in useful for fire lighting. Now if we can find something you can write with, would you be able to write a short message?
Dreith looks at Galatine thoughtfully, considering how to word this... if she can trust him...

I understand. If you have paper, then I can write...excuse me for this.
He bit his thumb hard enough to make the tip bleed. Intending upon using his blood to write, at least it was simple enough.
The paper, if you please. And what is it that you wish to write?
Noting the look she gave him, he dicided to help to gain some trust:
What ever you write, I wont pass on. You should know, I dont have any interest in this, nor do I have anyone to pass this onto. As for wether its illegal...It does not concern my interests either.
He spoke softly, and with honesty.

Its legal Dreith assures him. I have your oath then, that it is between you and I, and that no others will hear of it.

OOC: PMs the text she dictates!

I swear, it is not to spoken of by me. It is not my story to tell.
He begins to write, his blood making the red letters...

Dreith watches closely, thinking she is going to have to learn this writing thing one day. Can be useful. But her time had been spent with other....activities.

When Galatine has finished, and they have let the blood dry, she takes it, and slips it in her bag, squinting at the sun setting between the trees. The first owl of the night calls.

My thanks. I will leave now. Soonest done, soonest finished, and the sooner we can be on our way. I will return here by dawn.
She smiles faintly, pulls the hood of her cloak up, and vanishes into the shadows.

He nods
I will wait for you.
He sat down and began to meditate, as she lefdt, he whispered sliently:
BE safe...long lived or no...you are not immortal.
The devil laughed.

Sometime before dawn the next morning

A cloaked figure is seen moving among the trees, warily checking around, before appearing.

I have returned

The boy had noticed her presence drawing closer, but had not moved. In fact, since he started meditating, he not moved at all. Proof of this was a bird chirping on his head, and dew dripping down the tips of his hair. Finally, he stirred and looked at Drieth.
So you have. I trust that things went well?
Letting the bird fly away, he got up and walked over to her, picking up his swords as he did.
So where shall we go now?

Dreith ignores the question about her trip back to Sanga.

I was intending on travelling to the Heartlands. Youre ready then? Lets go.

He nods.
Very well.
He follows silently, without another word.
Her roundabout ways are irritatating me now...please let me out, just for a bit? I'll get the full truth out of her... The devil snickered, and though he ignored it, Galatine visably clutched his head in frustration, but passed it off again.
Wanting to avoid questions, he changed the subject:
What buisness do you have in the Heartlands?

Dreith notices Galatine clutch his head.
are you well?
She walks on a moment before responding to the other question
answers, I hope, from someone I have known for a long time. And ... she pauses, and then stops. She hasnt fully decided on the rest. To do it would display weakness, but to not.... she doesnt really care about the people involved, but she prefers to be an elf of her word. it helps avoid a knife in the ribs on a dark night. Oh well. Situations normally clarify what is the best choice, when the time is right. And I may have someone else to speak to, or not; if they are there.

His eyes widened and suddenly he turned away, but his answer came all the same:
I am fine, sorry for that.
He looked back, but his eyes were covered by his hair, once again and continues:
Alright. Do you wish my presence for any reason, or is it whimsical?
considering what he had just said rude, he rephrased:
I mean...I am not going to become a burden, I hope?

No one is forcing you to come, or forcing you away Dreith smiles faintly.
as I said before we may prove useful to one another, I, for example, would like to learn to write. You can write; maybe you can teach me. You seem to desire company that is not attempting to kill you, as you... explore... That is offered. besides, you never know what you may encounter in travels and two swords are better than one.

Dreith does not say it, but she enjoys the company of this human. Not like Setema, always having to be even told to stand up and sit down - now that WAS a burden in the end, but this human who is free to stay or go, and who has decided to follow her, is interesting company. Maybe learn to write, and get to observe human behaviour as well. nothing wrong there.

He gave a faint smile back
I have no objections to teaching you to write, if you wish to learn. And you are correct about me to some degree...As for two swords are better than one...
He glances at his Daisho
Well...the meaning is granted. And it would be...pleasent to travelwith you.
Under his hair, the boy's eyes were bright, watchful and somewhat curious. Elves were something he was often in meditation about. They were so strange. Grace, speed, beauty, power...most of these were gifted to them in ways that other species lacked. It was fasinating to him, but he was also curious about why he was fine around Drieth. She did not seem to scare him like most women did when he traveled with them...perhaps it was his respect for her abillities...
Regardless, as they walked, he quietly sang to himself, so silently he could barely hear himself, but it was the song that was giving a calming effect upon him too...
