The Great Wall, the anvil on which the tide of the undead would be broken, the gift of the Spider to the children of the Blood Mother...it was finally finished. Dellam was busy establishing a presence and overseeing the fortification of what had been the central fort of Pathway when the word came to him by messenger from his inner circle that the great labour was done. Such a thing was cause for a short time of revelry amongst his own forces which he allowed for the edifice was a monument to the strength of the living. Made to the exacting specifications as laid down in the plan, it ranged from the mountains in the south, via the two still standing forts, all the way to the ocean at the north. There a port was already underway being built as both a military installation and a new trading post. It had all gone rather well thought Dellam of this project, with minimal accidents during construction and an oddity of calm through the process. He hoped it was just the Mother guarding this great work, though that was likely wishful thinking.

The next day orders were sent back to the wall to begin its consecration by any of the faithful celebrants that were still with the main force, with allowances for other holy men and women to duly give their blessings as well. Dellam didn't want this thing to just withstand the attacks of the mundane but also the magical and the divine and he was more than willing to get as many gods behind it as possible. Well, with the obvious exceptions of the Quarin and Larwyella. Along with such orders he also sent another set of commands, asking for any earth and meta mages present there to begin looking into the existence of any tunnels under the wall. He had no desire to see the thing knocked over by sappers before it even got to withstand a decent assault and such mundane concerns had to be dealt with before he started worrying about the problems of teleportation and so on. There was a great deal to consider, alot of possible problems to cover for but the trick was to deal with whatever was most likely and then work out from there to the more outlandish. Such was the lot of any tactician in the field.
