That's fair enough :)

Maybe their weapons natural do magic damage (or the power up adds magic damage)? I'm sure, in Serke Kemi, some of the Demons are magic only and the mages are rare. A situation like the above could be likely and is a little added bonus :)

I like the suggestions, but I think they will make the shaded blade too good in comparison to everyone else. It's very show-boat when (only my perception) I see them as humble monks.

I did always find it strange that serkanians can't hurt magic only demons, but then it makes sense that they have such a problem with them. Also essence strike exists, so they should just buy that.

I like the idea of losing chi, it's like your Kami is burning out inside the blade. As TT I have something which drains 1 chi every 30 seconds, I like this applying when your sword is out. Maybe the advantage is one of the things mentioned like magic damage (ki strike anyone?) or cutting blows, or a damage call I'm inventing for Serke Kemi which I'd like to run past you first, Ben. Will PM you now.

Due to their exposure to the sting, demons in Serke Kemi were rarely only affected by magic. Also, essence strike did exist and they had essence :) (essence strike with chi is pretty limited)

There's enough Pure Shard in every MC Serkanian Blade to affect any demon though not enough to do anything else that pure Pure Shard does. Yep.

First Strike Pure Shard would fit with this. It uses up one chi for the rest of the day as they they bind with the Kami to push all the Pure Shard within the blade to the striking surface for one mighty blow (Pure Shard does double damage v demons after all).

Pure Shard slightly downpowered to dispel the most powerful active spell rather than all.

I don't know if they need anything. I'm pretty sure only Andy and I have played Shaded Blades recently, and I've found that drawing the sword when it feels right is what made that moment 'epic' without the need for stats. If someone is going to keep on drawing the sword then they're not going to get as much skill - I'd be happy if someone said to me - "Why do you think you needed to draw your sword then?" - and justify it. I say, leave them as they are and see how Serke Kemi goes :)

Don't think so. I think the fact they don't have any of the restrictions of Furious Blades is a benefit enough!

From what I know, Shaded Blade is the only Serkanian class not being represented on the Serke Kemi event. Right or wrong, doesn't that say something about the perception of the class?

If no one else plays one, I will.

I'll start as they're written and make up random rules throughout the weekend to see which works well ;)

Hmmm...lets see how balanced "Touch of Death by blow 3 times per day as long as I don't use the blade at other times"

(3 Touch of Deaths later)

Bit broken.

Let's try something else for the rest of the day...

Yeah, but only 3 times per day...and I can't use a weapon for the rest of it. Seems legit.
