Shaded Blade stuff would still apply: eg buy ability to do double in unarmed, gain ability to do it in 2H

I think this should be done post saga, using the first event as a play test.

It seems really risky to test it on the biggest event of the year.

Sort of yeah, but didn't we kinda test things last Saga (10 skill event gaining skill based on IC events)?
As long as I can't lose, I've already won.

Happy to playtest on saga but Ten Tigers is about 90% damage grades.

So think furious blades would need some consideration. Currently they lose damage, parries, are restricted to clumsy weapons, get no stances

Talking to Andy about it, 3 parries per Prof seems more in line with new rules.

Shaded blades would just need an unarmed Prof, which would apply to their sword as states in the rules. They have little to lose tbh.

feel you on the weapon choice though, but maybe we just take that as a roleplay restriction. Swapping from sword to mace to axe rarely happens for warriors anyway!

3 may not be the correct number but 1 certainly isn't. As Luke mentioned, it could be that we return the skill to buy parry hits to Furious Blades also.

I don't agree with this point. The 10 skill saga was thought about a year in advance with how to make it work and be enjoyable.

It feels to me that if you do this on the first weekend event after saga and set that at an appropriate threshold (60-120) you can see how all of the changes actually impact everything without having a dramatic impact if it's just wrong.

I'm not saying the changes are wrong, in fact I wholly support them, but I think they should be implemented in the right way and not "rushing" into it on an event with such a high skill cap and skill disparity.

Skill disparity is a reason for doing it really.

Pretty confident that the rules changes won't ruin the event but I'm happy either way: it's more natural to use the 10 year gap to implement these changes.

Can I force someone's hand on this? I want to get spends etc sorted for Saga and rules changes massively effect this.

Are these changes being implemented pre or post Saga??

Thanks
