Last Minute Kit, help a fatty out please

Postby Sonny » Mon Jul 22, 2013 12:05 pm

well unfortunately due to the company i ordered my gear from refusing to answer their phone lines or returning my call i placed the order in blind hope it would be ready.
near on a week after i get an email telling me its going to take 4-5 weeks... so yes it will not be ready from saga, im not gunna name the company as i know its a busy season... still dont give a phone numbers on your website if you have no intent on answering them ¬_¬

so little rant over, I am in bad need of kit for saga as half my costume will now not be ready
does anyone know of larp sites that have stock and do quick shipments or could possible get stuff ready to be picked up at empire?
im after some larpy trousers or ideally Hakama (fat friendly of course)
also after something similar to Jin-Baori Tunic/Waistcoat on this page, though i doubt that will be an easy task
http://www.velvet-glove.co.uk/index.php?page=6

anyone got company suggestions that do speedy stuff or will more than likely be at empire? kinda desperate now

The company was Velvet Glove.

Try places like lrpstore.co.uk or vikingstore.co.uk.

Contact Having a LARP and Light Armouries on facebook, they'll be at Empire and I can collect. Show them that link.

I had a similar experience with Velvet Glove, ordered two shirts, nothing for 2 months, then they replied that they are out of stock. I asked to cancel my order, ordered off another supplier and it arrived by the end of the week.

Re: Carol

Do you just do cloaks and cowls etc, and just focus on women, or do you do men's shirts etc as well? I don't have anything in mind currently, I am just wondering and feel like some members here might like to know also!!

Hi Luke,No, I don't just do cloaks etc., I make whatever people ask for, and I can make stuff for any sex and anything (customers to date have included one Ancient Egyptian Jackal God, two Succubi, assorted vampires, cats, 1 dog, two horses and one elephant - don't ask!), and all shapes and sizes. send me pictures of the sort of thing you are looking for plus your choices for fabrics/colours/special finishes such as waterproof or quilted etc., and your measurements, and I can give you an estimate on costs.
Thanks for the kind words about my stuff.
Cheers,
Carol
