OOC: Language on IC boards!

Postby Will » Fri May 27, 2005 6:04 pm

And no, I don't mean bad language!

Could we please avoid text speak/messenger speak on IC posts please?! It really does not instil the right atmosphere!

What seems more impressive?

"Greetings! My name is Thorak Thorninson, leader of all you see before you!"

or

"Greets my name is thorak thorinson, ldr of all uc b4 u"

:P

Also, could people please sign each IC post they make with the name of the character they are using for that post.

Thanks.

This also applies to the rest of the boards - please avoid excessive use of 'txt spk' or '133t sp33k'. I will either rewrite (if they're interesting) or delete (otherwise) posts that are unreadable due to the inability to use English.

Also, please don't SHOUT in topic titles or for entire sentences. The same rule applies - I will tidy it up or delete if you do. If a topic is important enough to need to be read - we will make it an Announcement or Sticky. Posts in CAPITALISED TEXT are hard to read, try to keep this place tidy for people that are just going through to find information etc.
