At the end of the nine days Kerrigan appears and walks over to Qualye

Hello Qualye how can I help reach the survivors,
I know a group of my friends are trapped in the centre of this

The Eremine followers had returned to helping the digging effort, though they made no secret that they did so to speed Quayle's attention onto finding Jasdu, and at all times at least thre of them were watching Quayle and not working.
Circusite, Ref(!?) and general lunatic.

**Quayle stops digging as Kerrigan approaches**

"Kerrigan isn't it? There may be lots of people trapped under here, but Kriska, Bartholomew, Nathaniel and Aratain are the only names I know for sure so I assume it's them you're talking about? I must be honest...we don't know whether they're alive or dead. We haven't found any survivors in several days now.

**His voice trails off**

I'm sorry, I'm not sure how much you know about what happened."

**He points to the North gate**

"We entered the tunnels near the North gate, followed it south under the city to about... **he points to the school** ...there then turned east towards the well. We lost track of the others somewhere between the school and the well so if there's anything you can do to give us a better idea of where they might be, that would be very useful. That way we can dig in a more specific area"

**Quayle**
"And unconscious people always count as willing"

Kriska send me a message saying that she was trapped with those you have just mentioned, so I know she was alive yesterday and I will find out what I can, but then I am digging

With that Kerrigan looks up to the sky and then to the ground and then starts to focus on the ground

*Zemilia had been seen from time to time, each time she was seen she seemed to have gained more colour in her. She made sure that food and suplies were brought down for all of the working people, she kept making sure that they were comfortable and fed so that when they had finished their shifts they could rest near to the tunnel.*
*Kriska Neptune Molignue, bonded and Dead*

*Zemilia Sraosha Coshwood Ancalimon, Princes Regent of the Earth Elves.*

*Lucy*

**To Kerrigan** "Be careful, the well is nearby so I don't know what will happen if you try sensing power."

*Out of the rocks, Aquarius drifts*

I regret that the magics of the well make the rocks impassable, even to me. I cannot get further than forty feet or so, though it is hard to be sure of distance.
So then he goes, YOU SHALL NOT PASS, and I say "I've got WINGS? I can FLY?" It was hilarious! The dwarf was tough, but the elf was delicious and they had some men and these four bite-sized guys, too. The wizard was fuming when I flew off.

I did not try sensing power I can feel the well without opening those senses to it and that would hurt

Kriska, Bartholemew, Nathaniel and Aratian are all alive, though they are trapped and they have run out off food, on the good side there air supply hasn't run out. all we need now is to try and get a better fix on there position

With that Said Kerrigan again focuses on the ground, then stops

I am going to see what I can get from the tunnels that are being dug, do either of you know which one has dug the deepest

**There is a commotion some way away from the conversation. Cries of "we've found a live one!" are quite clear. A burst of hope spreads through everyone's hearts as they start to move towards the jubilant workers.

Cries of hope quickly turn to screams of pain and terror. Out of the uncovered earth begin to spring monstrosities. Humanoid figures with extra arms and legs and tentacles. And teeth. And claws. And a frenzy of rage that drives them to kill. Before anyone can even register what has happened, 5 workers lie dead and mutilated on the ground.

The creatures spread out.**

**Quayle drops his shovel as the cries go up and is moving towards the hole before seeing the creatures. As he does, his eyes widen and his hand goes down to his sword belt and he realises he took it off in order to dig. His hand twitches, considering something before reaching down and picking up a length of wood**

"Dammit! Everyone who's unarmed, get back! The rest of you, mundane weapons only!"

**The whole scene is a riot of terror. Few hear Quayle's voice, and those that do obey.

Skirmishes flare up everywhere, and bursts of magic indicate that some with essence are present.**

**Smacking one of the creatures round it's makeshift face with his makeshift club, Quayle turns as a burst of flame soars past his head singing his hair. He turns in alarm, unable to see who was casting**

"NO MAGIC! They're creatures from the well, saturated by magic...I doubt it will harm them!"

**Whether through experience or having heard Quayle's words, the use of magic swiftly subsides.

The one attacked by Quayle crumples to the ground in a heap.**

Kerrigan draws his sword and goes straight into the commotion and starts to hack through as many of the monstrosities as possible

**Quayle snaps the piece of wood over his leg making a sharp point which he thrusts at another of the creatures while he scans the ground for a better weapon. Gesturing to the hole, he shouts to those nearby**

"Are they still coming out?"
