Without warning, as quickly as it had been taken away, magic returns to the world. Those races gifted with innate powers find themselves once more able to perform such magical acts.

Soon after, mages begin to feel the presence of a great magical power beneath the earth. It doesn't feel quite the same as the Jewel had. Somehow this power feels at the same time more potent but also more turbulent. As this restored jewel reveals itself, once more mages are finding their arcane feet. In time, their power will be fully returned.

Meanwhile, on Coshwood Isle and through the wider world, the Coshwood family -all those descended from the first of the Elves- don't feel so good. Their physical forms simply fade away, and their souls vanish from Velmaneth. No warning. No control. No way to stop it.
