In the desert, you don't remember your name...

The harsh deserts mainly home to nomadic tribes and the lizardmen of the Shirikan

This old thing? Food? Not really. It doesn't exactly make it itself, I do it. I just use the orb to help. Very technical.

He smiled slightly, and pondered before answering the rest.

Being a Djinn is a very long story, one which I cannot tell. Needless to say it was complicated, and I couldn't do it again, not like this!

He gestured to all of himself, but it was clear he didn't mean the way he was dressed.

I haven't been to most of the places you said... not now anyway. Pick one.

The light elf thinks for a moment, and then answers. 'Sinya Palurin. I wish to go to Sinya Palurin. I have heard many stories about it, more than any other place, and I would like to travel there. Have you ever been there?'

Probably, briefly, but I don't remember so I can't teleport us there. Good job we have legs.

The desert was starting to break up into rockier areas, vegetation poking up through the ground.

After you I guess..

Toshak walks as fast as he can without falling down, and reaches the patches of vegetation. There are a few edible roots poking up through the ground, and he hurriedly pulls them out and devours them. These are very bitter, but I don't care! They are sweeter than anything else right now.

After he feels a bit better, he carries on through the desert, Ishan by his side.

'I'm not exactly certain, but I think we might be nearing the edge of the desert,' he says after a few hours of walking. 'Why was that lamp there, lying in the sands?'

I'm not really sure. I expected it to be a sundial or something to do with time. I just asked to go home, so it must have just landed in the desert. I don't even know how long I was there.

Still, best not to dwell on these things. Certainly not the least accurate a ritual of mine has been.

Ishan didn't bother with the food
He just started back at the desert.

'Are you leaving?' Toshak calls out. 'I thought you were going to come with me. Or do you wish to return to the Kor?'

Hmmm? He said absent mindedly

Oh no, no, no. Not sure how welcome I would be. My cousin used to be the leader of the Tribe, Warmaster Safina... you don't happen to know if she's still...alive? he said the last word in as matter-of-fact tone as he could muster but it was obvious he cared greatly about the answer.

He then began to chant under his breath, the orb glowed slightly. Then he marched off away from the desert.

This way Light One.

'No, I don't know. I haven't seen the Kor for many years, but last time I saw them Safina was still alive,' Toshak replied. When Ishan began to walk away he waved goodbye, and called out 'Thank you for all that you have done!'
