Welcome to the Heart of Pargon LARP website. Heart of Pargon is a UK based LARP system that runs games on a regular basis all year long near Exeter, Devon.
We run one or two adventures a month depending both on the time of year and the demand from our player base. We use our own unique system of rules and
the main story arcs are heavily influenced by player actions.

Hi all...
Just wondering/testing out for objections, if anyone has an issue with the following proposal:
Changing the dates of the overnight and day time to September the 20th (CHOP the next day).
This would make for tough weekend for those doing all, but 3K is having an event on the 13th and 14th, and I really should be there...
Will understand if people would rather not and are happy to run without me.
On that note, 3K is running an event on the weekend before if anyone wants to come with

IC: Outlawing

Hi all,
Due to events of last weekend, the following system effects are now in place, enforced IC by all organised peoples of Pargon:
- The killing of any Hero by another Hero will result in them being 'outlawed', as the grand ritual sees their deed and condems them as such. This only applies whilst on a mission with said Hero (so not essence bearers you might meet on the monster crew) or in an established settlment.
- The outlawing does not take effect until the next sunrise, giving you time to hand yourself over to the 'law' (reffs) who will be able to decide whether the outlawing should stick. Self defense is a valid excuse. The all knowing powers will know whether this is the case or not.
- An outlawed character will no longer fall under the protection of said ritual. They will also carry on their heads a bounty of 30 Rava for every killing that they commit.
- Further developments to said ritual will be made clear (as mud) IC, but not announced OOC as such...

Since at least some of you have looked/booked onto this adventure, the brief brief has changed:
"A group of heroes set out to free a godling from a fraternal argument in the Hopewastes."
I believe those who should know about this will know what I'm talking about, and hopefully some of them will be discussing how to get there shortly. If anyone desperately wants to go hunting for the sword while you're down there, speak soon or forfeit your right to be upset.

As many of you know, I quite like Drama...
Towards the end of October, The New Theatre in Cardif is putting on "Noises Off" by Michael Frayne.
This is simply the funniest... thing... I have ever seen.
I would like to organise a group of us to go up and see it.
I would estimate that including petrol/bridge toll the trip should cost £20ish, and we could even go out for a meal whilst up there...
I'm thinking going up on an evening... say... Thursday 23rd of October, getting there for 6ish, having a nice meal... going to the theatre then coming back...
Need a group of 8 for discounts...
I CANNOT stress enough how AMAZING this play is, and if you have any vague interest in the theatre... or laughing... please please please consider doing this!!!

Hi all,
Remember that the next weekend is an SR/HOP extraaaaavaganza.
I'd also like to make clear a few rules (some new) about staying over at Dunlarpin...
Everyone is to contribute to clearing up/making place nice after use. This includes doing our best to keep things tidy during partying, and especially after.
Cut off for loudness is midnight. After this I feel it is only fair to ensure the noise levels are kept right down. This includes making every effort to keep the doors closed. All about respect people
Spillages should be cleared up straight away.
No going into the Dungeon without permission.
