August Bank Holiday Event!

Oh hai guise!

I've been a secretly busy beaver and booked us a weekend event for the August Bank Holiday (Friday to Monday, last weekend of August) at Caddihoe (which is about 20 mins outside Exeter)!

Aren't I wonderful?

This will be run by Becky (and Ben?) and me I guess, and will be based around the Draconis Tielvar plot that's been looming for awhile. It will also be the first "thing" since after Saga, so I'm going to imagine the effects of that will be felt quite strongly at the event!

Caddihoe holds a special place in my heart as it was the first site I went for any sort of extended LARP many years ago with Shadow Realms, and still holds some of my most intense LARP memories. Upstairs I understand will still be out of use, boo, but we'll be setting up a reff tent so that both downstairs rooms can be used by the players.

We'd encourage people to bring their own tents, or ask to borrow some of ours to make a grander feel. Guild tents for example, or group tents or whatever.

There's an open barn as the top of the site that people can use if they want some more of their own area.

I need to figure out prices but I suspect it'll be something like £35/£40 on the gate. Food I will have to decide later as well, cause it depends how many people we get.

When the new site goes up (soon I tells you, soon!) I'll get booking info sorted.

Over to you Becky!

Raiders of the Lost LARP

The debrief sheet for this game has gone missing. I've just talked it through with Sonny, and we think we've got everything back, though I make no promises about skill/essence awards being exactly the same. I have the following players:

Andy C, Kestrel
Lorraine, Mirya
Damien, Traegar
Callum, Kezrazil
Kai, Lichbane (skill to Pebble)
Edmund, Dak,
Kara, Ka,
Rebecca, Dusk,
Phil, Weyoun,
Alphie, Arthur (?)
Chee, Sundars,

And the following Monsters:

Sonny
Colin
Andy H
Vince
Tom
Cerridh

If you are not on this list and should be, let me know. Also, if you left the adventure with any of the magical items, please message me with what you think you had. Again, we're fairly sure we've accounted for them all, I'd just like to double check our memory against yours. If there is anything else that you think needs to go into markup, please tell me that, too.

Thanks. I'll give it a couple of days for people to check in then this will go up.

Curious Pastimes Return

Hi guys,

It is my full and determined intention to return to Curious Pastimes in 2012.

In order to facilitate this, I am looking to reform my group.

The concept will be an Elven group, somewhere between Wild Elves and High Elves (Wood Elves in general) who are all part my court in Lyonnesse (I will be playing my already established character Danahil).

It would be AMAZING to form a proper group which is balanced and self sufficient.

This means we're looking at ritual team, crafter, alchemist, healers, mages, shaman, fighters, foragers.... the whole package.

Please please consider this people, it really would be stunning to get a proper group together. These events are so much fun with a solid group around you.

Yes, the debrief part of the site seems to be down, hence lack of skill from last weekend!

I'm sure we'll have it all sorted soon!

Yup Daggar is a little harlot and has gone and gotten herself pregnant.

May 13th - 15th

Hey guys,

Three Kingdoms are running one of their weekend events on the 13th to the 15th of May at Caddihoe (which is practically next door to us).

I would like to move our adventures that weekend to the weekend after (I've checked with Ceiridd) (21st/22nd of May) and encourage us to go support the event, playing or monstering Myself and Phil will be catering

Please moan speedily if this is a massive problem

Love and hugs

Sunday the 3rd Cancelled

For two reasons:

1. The unforgivable tip that is the kit trailer and kit shed. I know that there are certain people chiefly responsible for keeping these in order, a job in which they have clearly failed, but it is also on everyone's head to take responsibility. Phil and I have just emptied the trailer and we have found moulding sandwiches, damp clothes buried under dirty clothes, really nice props damaged in weird ways and just a total lack of any sign of any sort of order or attempt at tidying. The shed is just a pile of clothes which upsets me as I have given over an area of my property so that other people can have a place to store kit safely, and it's been treated as a dumping ground, that is of course when people don't just leave their kit lying around the house.

2. One person is booked on. I'm sure there are plenty more planning on turning up but... well, I just don't know?

Instead Sunday will be spent sorting out said trailer and shed. Anyone who wishes to come and maybe find some stuff that's gone missing is more than welcome.

Happy announcement

Please excuse me for hijacking the announcement thread but this is possibly the most important announcement I will ever make.

As some of you are already aware or may have guessed, Rebecca is pregnant. We’ve had a (very early) scan and have a preliminary date of the rather cool 1/11/11 (11/11/11 would be cooler but it would probably cry during the minutes silence so probably for the best). Fortunately this means she isn’t like to go into labour during Saga (halfway up a Welsh mountain) but I wouldn’t put it past her doing so during Alone.

It will almost certainly be a boy but there is a risk of it being ginger due to Rebecca’s heritage, as worrying as this is we are both extremely happy.

Anyway, first proper scan will be 21st April which, coincidentally is when we’re moving house (we're moving to Okehampton to be near my family) so could use a little help if anyone is free over the Easter weekend.
