So, Who Are these people?

Over the years there have been several people who have stood out in their contributions to the club. They usually hold the position of honourary referee.

John Wordsworth

John's only been LRPing for 11 or so years, so feels just that little bit inferior when LARPing next to Will. Luckily, Will's only got 5 minutes experience in making websites, compared to about 9 years again, so he get's to feel superior in that department at least! John has not been very involved with the club in recent years, but was responsible for the creation of much of the initial system and the entire website.

John started getting involved with Heart of Pargon back in the planning stages in October 2004, and startedd reffing at the events since they started in January 2005. Heart of Pargon was the product of a lot of Chicken and Bacond pasta in Clydesdale House while discussing LARP in Exeter and it's ties with the University of Exeter LARP Society. As president, John twisted the arms of the LARP society into donating half it's funds to Heart of Pargon and with a new (small) collection of weapons, costume made by a very kind benefactor, Will's Heartlands system and a suggestion of Pargon from a certain individual Heart of Pargon was born!

Outside of LARP John likes to spend his time digging his fingers into Student Media, particularly the paper (Exeposé) and the radio (Xpression). He spends a lot of time pressing buttons on his computer, and sometimes even finds time to try to make some websites for other good causes too!

We all look forward to the days when John's presence is once again felt at the club!

Dave Alford

Dave, Is that my name?

I've been asked to put down a short bio; which I have found to be quite depressing when I think back to the time that I started roleplaying. It seems that I have been roleplaying longer than most Heart of Pargon players have lived. It was over twenty five years ago that I say down to my first table top game. A year of so later, I decided to create my own system and have been running Pherrion ever since.

I started LARPing with Shadow Realms before setting up King's Banquet or Pig in a Bun with Bob. Having started as a player in Heart of Pargon, I was asked if I could take a greater role and eagerly accepted only to find myself becomming a member of this strange and motley crew.

Dave has taken a step back from Heart of Pargon and LARP in general, but we hope it will not be for too long, as our world suffers without his presence.

Tim Treadwell

Will met and grew to know Tim over many years at Labyrinthe. Whilst Tim remains dedicated to his original club, he has done us the massive favour of creating the vast majority of our costume, which has always been extremely high quality and we are very lucky to have such support!

Tim was a member of "Treasure Trap", which was recognised as the first LARP club in the world. So, it is safe to say that he has been invloved in the hobby a considerable amount of time!

Pete Walls

Pete has helped the club over the last couple of years, despite being based in London, by contributing hugely to the rules and even writing an event for us! We wish we could see him more!
